CHP Niğde Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer spoke at the TBMM General Assembly at the budgets of the Ministries of Agriculture and Forestry, Youth and Sports and Foreign Affairs.
Gürer argued that farmers and producers are finished with wrong agricultural policies.
Wanting the Agricultural Credit Cooperative and the bank’s debts to be postponed, their interests to be deleted, and their execution to be stopped, Gürer stated that the prices of medicine, fertilizer, feed and diesel oil should be reduced and the electricity price used for irrigation water should be reduced.
Drawing attention to the threat of drought in 2021, Gürer demanded that the farmer stand by his side.
Gürer, who came to the chair with various pulses in a box and showed them during his speech, said that the producer could not earn what he produced, and the consumer bought expensive products. Saying that the beans sold by the producer for 7-8 liras this year are 18 liras in the market, Gürer said that the consumer was robbed. Gürer noted that similar legumes are also sold at high prices in the markets, although they come out of the field at low prices.
